Another reading event to report: this time at the Firkin and Flapper pub in the centre of Birmingham on Wednesday 8th November. Thank you Lee for taking the photographs and for your excellent compering for the evening, which saw several of my New Street Author chums read at the event.

I look rather crumpled and sad, according to my wife. I think that Annette is correct: I had just finished reading a rather sad extract from There Was A Soldier. I didn’t anticipate how emotional I became at the end of the reading; this didn’t happen during rehearsals at home.
