Reading Event at Roberto’s Bar, Halesowen

I thought that I had posted about this event last month! For some reason, I must have forgotten to do so; hence this rather late post.
My first reading for almost 12 months was at Roberto’s Bar in Halesowen in the West Midlands. Reading events seem to be few and far between these days, so I am very grateful for the inimitable Lee Benson for inviting me and a number of other New Street Authors to read at one of his regular hosted events at Roberto’s bar.
I read the end of a short story that I have written, which I hope will be included in New Street Authors second anthology, a collection that we will self-publish in due course.
David Wake, Dawn the Poet, and Lee Benson – all members of New Street Authors read poems at the event. Several other (mostly local) poets also read their work during the course of a very enjoyable event.
Thanks also to Lee for taking the image below. The bar was rather dark, so the image is, inevitably, somewhat pale because I was standing in the light near the front of the bar that overlooks the street.
